Enterprise Business Manager

What did you do before joining the Enterprise Zone?

Business liaison and knowledge exchange for Arts Humanities and Social Sciences. I have also at various times run my own business, developed partnerships and managed arts, cultural and community development projects.

What does a typical day involve?

I have just arrived in post so a typical day at the moment is full of surprises! As I learn about and meet the people involved in the wide range of activities within the University to support student enterprise. I often meet other University staff, Business support agencies and other external partners to look at how we work together to develop enterprise.

What was the last book you read, what did you think of it?

Lead Mining in the Peak District (Ed. Ford and Rieuwerts) – really good background to the development of the specialised landscapes of the Peak District.

Who would you most like to have dinner with and why?

All my friends and family I have not seen recently because one meets so many interesting people and there just isn’t enough time to stay in touch with them all!
